I made the dinosaur animation that is above myself, I call it the magic dinosaur. This really is a styracosaurus, that is without the colored horns.

The name dinosaur was coined by Sir Richard Owens in 1842. It means terrible lizard

This is a Tyrannosaurus Rex!! He was one of the fiercest dinosaurs of all. The name means king. And he was!! The T-REX was the largest meat eating dinosaur. Can you believe if a man was standing next to a T-REX he would only come up to his knee!!!!

Here is a T-REX in action!!! I am sure glad there are no dinosaurs today. By the way this is my second favorite dinosaur. My most favorite is Velociraptor

BRONTOSAURUS

These dinosaurs are plant eating. They are now called apatosaurus but some people still call them brontosaurus. There were even larger dinosaurs than the apatosaurus called the megasaurus and the ultrasaurus

Stegosaurus

These dinosaurs also ate plants. The plates on their backs were thought to capture heat. I made this animation myself too.

VELOCIRAPTOR

These are my favorites!!! They were about the size of a man. They were very very good jumpers. Velociraptors had long claws which they would use to get their prey. They also usually hunted in packs like wolves do. Many people think Deinonychus and velociraptors are the same but they are NOT. They do look and act alike though. This animation is my favorite one that I made.

COMPSOGNATHUS

This is the smallest meat eating dinosaur. He was the size of a chicken. If you saw the movie Lost World the compys were really compsognathus.

PARASAUROLOPHUS

This is one of the duck bill dinosaurs. They all have strange crest on their heads. These were used for making sounds like a horn or a whistle. Can you imagine what it must of sounded like .
